How God Grows His Church (Psalm 62)

The Spirit can have it wash over you like a river. Strength comes straight from God when you—teenager, adult, grandparent, parent—depend upon God by pouring out your heart to Him. When you depend on Christ crucified and raised again—God’s work for the purpose of saving you and others—you will begin to deeply experience God. This is true because God is literally enfleshed by Christ whose Spirit will overflow in you on account of God and His plan. This is how God grows His Church.

The Power of God For Us Today: Ezekiel 37:1–14

Dear Reader, if you are new here and curious, or are looking for answers immediately, please follow this link to our Start Here page: The Start Here page is designed as the beginning point of this website to which these further posts correspond. Thank you, and may “the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all” (2 Corinthians 13:14, NIV).

The following sermon, preached on April 2nd, 2017, focuses on Ezekiel’s Valley of Dry Bones. Most churches that are waning in number do not realize how GOOD they have it. Most have a roof, a baptistry, heating and air conditioning—but none of those things really matter. Most importantly, they have the Holy Spirit of God breathing new life into dry bones, with Christ, the head of the Church. The power of God for us today is the power to turn life to death, lifelessness into abundance of life, and empowerment for mission in the world, now! The challenge for the waning-in-number Church, or any Church: are you telling your friends, your coworkers, your neighbors, your “random people you see,” about God, the Gospel, or the Church? “Faith comes from hearing the message” (Romans 10:17) and “And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?” “As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” (10:14–15). Spread the word about how GOOD you have it!
